On the B168 between Kaprun and Zell am See lies the village of Aufhausen with its pretty little church. After parking outside the church we took the country lane by foot up in the direction of Furth & Durnburg. From here you will views across the valley to Kaprun, including the castle.

As well as views of the golf course and, depending on the time of year, cattle grazing, you may even be lucky and see the small local train crossing the valley floor. When the road started going downhill we turned back towards Aufhausen.
